A Coruña. This special place at the heart of Galicia. A land that is unique and unspoiled – a place of rugged beauty. A place of mighty cliffs and windswept sandy beaches – unchanged and changeable as the seasons, it has been an inspiration for countless artists – painters, sculptors, writers and photographers.

Steven Meisel 1993: A Year in Photographs is presented at the MOP Foundation’s dedicated exhibition space in A Coruña. Designed by the acclaimed architect Elsa Urquijo it is an innovative re-purposing of two abandoned buildings – a warehouse and a cement works - in the Muelle de Bateria área - as a museum quality exhibition space capable of hosting major international touring shows.
The MOP Foundation, a personal project of Marta Ortega Pérez, was founded following the success of inaugural exhibition Peter Lindbergh: Untold Stories, which ran from December 2021 to March in 2022. The Foundation aims to bring world class-photography exhibitions to A Coruña and, in so doing, bring A Coruña closer to the world. The voluntary contributions of the visitors and the profits generated by the sale of merchandising of the Exhibition will be destined to the project "Future Stories », aimed at supporting creators at their artistic career.
